Cationic Polyacrylamide

The main applications include urban sewage treatment, paper making, food processing, petrochemical, metallurgical, mineral dressing, dyeing, sugar making and all kinds of industrial wastewater treatment.

In the paper industry, it is used as dry strength additive, retention aids and drainage aids, which can significantly improve paper quality, save cost and improve the production capacity of paper mill.

In recent years, it is also used as the chemical agent in oilfield operations, such as the antiswell agent, thickener for oilfield acidization, etc.

Suggested Applications:

• As sludge conditioning/concentrating and dewatering of municipal sewage treatment plant
• As sludge conditioning/concentrating and dewatering of aerobic/anaerobic sludge process
• As a retention and drainage aid in paper making
• After completion of acidic reaction/acid leaching to aid filtration in inorganic salt. Industry and mining industry as well as dye & pigment manufacturing
• As a charge neutralizer of the colloidal particles for cross treatment along with anionic bridging polymer for very effective solid liquid separation
• As a dewatering aid in pulp and mill effluent

Usage

For use of PAM, the concentration should be controlled at 0.1-0.2%. If no dissolving equipment and dosing system is used, a thinning tank should be used. Add PAM with screw pump and adjust the amount according to the actual situation.

Storage and Handling

Store it in a cool and dry place. Avoid humidity. For spills of dry powder, sweep up the material and reuse, if possible. Do not spray water on spilled dry powder because the resulting gel is very slippery and difficult to clean up. For spills of solutions, sprinkle sawdust or vermiculite over the spill area and sweep into approved chemical disposal containers. Refer to MSDS for more information about storage and handling.
